A storm system is forecast to bring more rainfall to Central and Southern California growing regions next week, Tuesday March 21 through Saturday, March 25. Harvest cancellations and delays may occur, further limiting supplies.

Below are the regions and commodities which will be affected, along with predicted rainfall for each:

Oxnard, California (0.25” to 0.50”) 

• Avocados
• Cilantro
• Celery
• Lemons
• Strawberries

Santa Maria, California (0.75” to 1.00”)

• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Green Leaf
• Romaine
• Strawberries

San Joaquin Valley, California (0.50” to 0.75”)

• Green Leaf
• Iceberg
• Lemons
• Oranges
• Romaine

Salinas, California (1.25” to 1.75”)

• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Iceberg
• Green Leaf
• Romaine
