The Brussels sprouts market is elevated.

• Industry supplies have tightened as the Oxnard, California season finished earlier than expected due to poor quality
• Limited supplies remain in Baja and Sonora, Mexico; the size profile is small
• The Santa Maria and Salinas Valley, California seasons are underway
  • Volume continues to ramp up in Salinas
  • Currently, Salinas production is hand harvest only due to varying sprout sizing; machine-harvested varieties that grow uniformly will be ready in two weeks
• Domestic quality is very good: size and shape are optimal for commodity and processing packs
• Expect elevated prices for the next 10 to 14 days until Salinas Valley production is able to sufficiently meet current demand
