Brussels sprouts remain extremely limited; prices continue to climb.

• There are currently two primary Brussels sprout growing regions in North America
  • Mexico – Baja, California
  • California – Central Coast (Oxnard and Santa Maria)
• Yields are lower in both California and Mexico; rain and cold weather over the past several months that have stunted growth
• The Salinas/Castroville season will begin in late May, but stocks will remain tight; heavy winter rains delayed planting and tightened current supplies
• Volume will remain extremely low through June; expect high prices
