UPDATE: Broccoli and Cauliflower
November 05, 2015
Broccoli prices are currently steady, but expected to climb due to strong demand and tightening supplies over the next several weeks. More rain is in the forecast for Sunday night, November 8 and early Monday morning, November 9 that could delay or cancel harvesting further limiting stocks. The cauliflower market is escalating. This week’s rain and cooler West Coast weather have slowed production and reduced supplies. Demand is strengthening due to Thanksgiving as well as the end of the Salinas season.
