Broccoli and cauliflower prices are elevated; the Arizona/California desert season is off to a slow start.

• Growers are finishing their last Salinas Valley and Santa Maria harvests for the 2020 season
• Early season cauliflower head size is small in the desert region, tightening 9- and 12-count supplies
• Warm weather will continue to help plants mature at a faster rate
• After Thanksgiving, volume will rise and prices will start inching down
• Expect elevated markets for the rest of November, pending any market disruption due to COVID-19
