UPDATE: Broccoli and Cauliflower

Expect limited broccoli and cauliflower supplies for the next several weeks; prices are rising. Ready-Set-Serve contract triggers are expected to be met next week.
Broccoli
- Markon First Crop Broccoli Crowns are available to load in South Texas and Yuma, Arizona; Markon Best Available is being substituted when needed
- The seasons in the Arizona/California desert and Northern Mexico are wrapping up
- Salinas Valley shipments started in a limited way this week; expect stocks to ramp up the week of March 13
- Florida will have ample supplies from now until growers transition to Georgia in early May
Cauliflower
- Markon Essentials Cauliflower is available in Yuma, Arizona; supplies are expected to remain tight over the next few weeks
- The industry remains ahead of schedule; next week’s warmer weather is expected to affect production
- The transition to Salinas is starting in a light way; limited production will continue in Yuma until the season ends in a couple of weeks
