Update: Broccoli

Expect tight broccoli stocks for the next several weeks; prices are rising. Ready-Set-Serve contract triggers could be met by next week.
- Markon First Crop Broccoli Crowns are available to load in South Texas and Yuma, Arizona; Markon Best Available is being substituted when needed
- Due to heavy rains in Santa Maria, California and warm weather in the Arizona/California desert growing region, supplies are tight
- Overall quality is very good, but problems such as discoloration, flowering, and inconsistent size are lowering yields
- Some stocks will be shipped from Central and Northern Mexico as well as Florida to help cover orders
- The Salinas Valley season will start in a limited way at the end of next week
