Broccoli supplies are extremely limited as growers transition south to the Arizona/California desert region.

• Mexican-grown product is being supplemented for California stocks, but overall stocks are not meeting current demand levels
• Growers are entering the last Salinas Valley and Santa Maria fields for this season
• There will be an overlap in growing regions over the next three weeks, with limited quantities available in Arizona/California desert area
• Slowed growth due to cold weather is limiting short-cut pack availability due to small crown sizing
• Expect elevated markets for the rest of November
