Broccoli prices will climb by next week. Supplies will be limited in California and Mexico over the next two to three weeks. Expect the market to remain elevated until stocks increase.

• Markon First Crop Broccoli Crowns are sporadic; Markon Best Available will be substituted as necessary due to large size and branchy stems
• Stocks have been ample most of the summer, but are starting to tighten as fall approaches
• Regional areas are struggling with quality, increasing demand for California broccoli
• Production in Mexico (loading in South Texas) has been limited due to inclement weather
