Bell pepper prices have eased, especially markets for red bell peppers. Warm weather has aided the ripening process; supplies are increasing.  

Green Bells

• Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Green Bell Peppers are readily available
• Production is in full swing in Sinaloa, Mexico and Florida
• Expect lower prices to continue over the next month as favorable weather is in the forecast

Red and Yellow Bells

• MFC and ESS Red Bell Peppers are available
• Mexico is the primary growing region; supplies are increasing after two months of delays
• Warm, sunny weather in the Sinaloa growing region has increased the ripening cycle over the last week
• Yellow bell peppers are increasing, but growers planted fewer acres than red bells, keeping supplies snug
• Low temperatures are limiting Florida supplies
• Expect prices to fall over the next two weeks
