Green and red bell pepper prices remain elevated; markets are firm on both coasts with overall light supplies.

West Coast

• Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Green and Red Bell Peppers are available
• New crop red bell production is underway in California’s Southern Central Valley; supplies remain tight
• Green bell production is underway in California’s Northern Central Valley; supplies are adequate
• Demand has shifted West due to limited East Coast supplies which is keeping prices firm

East Coast

• MFC and ESS Green Bell Peppers are limited; packer label is being substituted as necessary
• The Georgia crop has finished
• New crop North Carolina supplies have begun shipping this week; supplies are limited due to rain
• Expect tight East Coast stocks until New Jersey, Ohio, and Michigan crops ramp up in late July
