Asparagus prices are low. Production in Caborca, Mexico is in full swing.  

• Weather remains ideal for spear growth; Caborca temperatures in the mid-70s to mid-80s are forecast over the next two weeks
• Quality is excellent: spears are uniform and tips are firm
• The Caborca season will begin to wind down in late March; production will transition to Central Mexico in early to mid-April
• Peruvian asparagus production is minimal; volume will increase in early April to coincide with the Mexican growing region transition
• Expect low markets through March
