Due to the upcoming Easter holiday and fewer supplies on the market, demand is expected to increase over the next few weeks. Prices will rise.

• Markon First Crop Asparagus will be available from Mexico through mid-April
• Packer label shipments out of California have started in a limited way; expect MFC Asparagus out of California to hit the market in mid-April
• The market will rise next week for the following reasons: 
  • The Mexican season is wrapping up early due to warmer-than-usual growing conditions
  • Fewer California plantings are in the ground
  • Easter demand will take effect next week 
  • Peruvian yields are low due to severe flooding
