Asparagus prices continue to rise. Production is extremely limited in Mexico. Supplies from Peru are meeting demand, but prices are escalating.

• Markon First Crop Asparagus is sporadic, but will start to increase over the next few weeks
• Mexican supplies are extremely limited; growers are moving production from the Baja Peninsula to mainland regions
• Demand is strong; Peruvian stocks will fill orders, but the market continues to rise
• Expect elevated prices until overall volume increases in early January
