Asparagus prices will climb over the next several weeks. Limited supplies in Mexico and Peru and strong holiday demand will keep prices elevated into early January.

• Markon First Crop Asparagus is sporadic, but will start to increase in mid-December
• Mexican supplies are extremely tight; growers are transitioning from the Baja Peninsula to mainland regions for the winter season
• Demand is strong; Peruvian stocks will fill orders until Mexican production increases in early January
• Expect elevated prices until overall volume increases
