UPDATE: Arizona/California Desert Growing Region

Broccoli, cauliflower, green leaf, iceberg, and romaine prices are climbing. Demand will exceed supply through the rest of the desert growing season.
- Warm weather is forecast through the next few weeks; this will push harvests further ahead of schedule
- The desert has approximately three weeks of product left in the fields
- Supplies will be limited through early May as the Salinas Valley will not have enough volume to cover demand
- Heavy rain has taken its toll on Salinas Valley growers; the first plantings are scheduled to be harvested in late March/early April
- Expect a sharp rise in prices over the next 7 to 10 days
