• Recent high temperatures have increased insect pressure; harvesting crews are reducing and/or eliminating insects during the packing process
• The Salinas Valley has the best quality due to higher insects counts in Huron, California and significant heat-related defects in the desert growing region
• Markon inspectors will be evaluating new lots as suppliers move north during the transition and will update further as needed
