• Temperatures exceeded 100 degrees throughout the Salinas Valley from Sunday, June 9 to Tuesday, June 11
• Heat stunted growth and delayed the maturity of crops; expect low weights
• Quality concerns such as insect pressure, fringe burn, internal burn, sun scalding, weak tip, and dehydration are being monitored
• Summer varieties are expected to become more prevalent as July nears, leading to better quality and yields
