The Arizona/California desert growing area has experienced erratic weather over the last several weeks, causing quality problems in some value-added products. The region has received higher-than-average temperatures, periods of rain, and humid conditions that have caused:
- Core material
- Mildew pressure
- Internal burn
- Premature pinking
- Shortened-life
- Weak tips
