An unforeseen downturn in yields for the carrot plugs used to shred and shave the carrot component for RSS Salad Blends will cause a temporary reduction in the quantity of carrots used in the blends. The following items that normally require a minimum of five percent shredded or shaved carrots, will temporarily carry only two to three percent:

• RSS American Blend - 4/5#
• RSS Romaine Blend 80/20 - 4/5#
• RSS Salad Mix - 4/5#
• RSS Coleslaw Kit - 2/5#
• RSS Green Cabbage Fine Diced W/Carrots - 4/5#

This adjustment will only affect blended items. Other salad items that contain separate bags of carrots will contain the required amounts. Markon expects to return to normal blend ratios by Monday, April 18, but will update sooner if that timeline is adjusted.
