Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are available.

A recent trend of warm, humid weather was followed by cool, overcast conditions in the strawberry growing regions of Salinas and Watsonville, California. Plants are stressed in some lots, and Markon inspectors have observed quality concerns such as: bruising, decay, smaller size, and soft texture.

Markon inspectors are working with growers to select the best lots available, and harvesting crews are discarding berries that are exhibiting quality concerns. Currently, MFC specifications are still being met, but as the summer growing season winds down, Markon Best Available may be substituted as needed.
