FROM THE FIELDS: Sporadic Lettuce Ice

January 12, 2016

The Arizona/California desert growing region is experiencing sporadic, light lettuce ice this morning, and may see more ice in wind-protected areas over the next few days. Most harvesting locations are expected to have production delays of 1-2 hours.

Forecasts are calling for temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s over the next few days with a chance of rain developing between January 16-18. Markon inspectors will be monitoring weather and supplies and will update further as needed.
