• Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are not available; packer label is being substituted as needed
• Santa Maria has received approximately 1.3” of rain since Friday, October 28
• Trace amounts of rain passed through the area again this morning, but a small number of growers are trying to resume harvesting
• Yields have plummeted as production crews are stripping 60% to 80% of total fruit because it is damaged (see photos)
• More rain is not forecast, but a brief heat spike on Thursday, November 3 could prolong quality problems
• Markon inspectors will continue to review quality and supply levels and will update further as needed
