The Salinas area has been hit with cold nights and warm days, resulting in slowed growth and an increase of mildew pressure and bottom rot in row crop items.

• Due to such adverse weather conditions, lower case weights and decreased yields are being reported across the industry
• Tight supplies are expected through the end of the Salinas season as the industry transitions to the Arizona desert growing region
