Supplies of Ready-Set-Serve (RSS) Deli Leaf in 2/5-pound packs are temporarily unavailable. A traditional green leaf variety with similar leaf size and traits will be substituted for approximately 7 to 10 days.

The excessive heat recorded in California’s Salinas Valley in late June caused quality and supply issues in many crops, including RSS Deli Leaf. The next available lots are too small to harvest, so a suitable substitute variety will be used to cover orders and Markon will continue to ship Deli Leaf in RSS Brand.

The attached pictures taken by Markon inspectors show the standard Deli Leaf variety and the substitute variety for comparison. Weather has cooled significantly since last month’s heat spikes which will help promote steady growth in upcoming lots.
