FROM THE FIELDS: Rain in the Desert Region

January 06, 2016

The wet conditions in the desert regions persist; .20” of rain fell through late last night. The majority of harvesting crews have started on time today, but the muddy conditions will slow production and may delay products’ arrival to the coolers.

Up to .55” of rain is forecast through Friday, January 8. The strongest storm is expected tomorrow, January 7. Markon Inspectors will continue working with crews to remove any dirt in packs and keep boxes as clean and dry as possible.
