The Arizona/California desert growing region is forecast to receive rain later today/tonight.

• Expected totals in the Yuma, Arizona area are upwards of 1” while the El Centro, California totals are lower at approximately 0.25”
• Production will likely be affected by muddy conditions for the next several days; most growers are packing ahead today to cover orders
• Temperatures for the duration of the week will remain in the low 70s (without rain)
• Markon inspectors will be monitoring lettuce and leafy green supplies for any rain-related quality and shelf-life concerns
