The Arizona/California desert growing region experienced rainfall this morning, January 25. More rain is in the forecast for Friday, January 29 and into the weekend. Harvesting delays and cancellations have been reported today. Suppliers packed Markon First Crop Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine Lettuce orders over the weekend to ensure 100% fulfillment today, and will continue to pack ahead throughout the week to ensure all orders are covered.

Current field conditions are extremely challenging with wet and muddy terrain that will cause harvesting and loading delays. Suppliers will work to keep boxes as clean and dry as possible, but some dirt/mud can be expected.

Markon inspectors will continue to monitor and report back with any new information.
