The Arizona/California desert region received approximately .25” of rainfall on Tuesday, January 15 that is now being followed by warm, humid conditions. Mildew pressure is springing up in many lettuce and tender leaf crops in the region. Growers and harvesting crews are taking measures to prevent or reduce mildew, but will not be able to eliminate it completely in some cases.

Markon inspectors are selecting the best lots available for Markon orders and will be monitoring quality and shelf-life closely in the days ahead.
