FROM THE FIELDS: Light Rain in the Desert Regions

The Arizona/California Desert growing regions received showers late this morning that are expected to continue through the evening. Approximately .30” of rain is forecast for today and winds up to 40mph for tomorrow, February 28.
Markon Inspectors are already seeing quality issues such as bottom rot and mildew pressure in some fields, but the rain-related defects below may increase in the coming days:
- Bottom rot
- Decay
- Mildew
- Premature pinking (in value-added items)
