The Arizona/California desert growing region is experiencing lettuce ice this morning. Depending on field location, harvest operations for lettuce and other row crop vegetables may be delayed for up to two hours.

The forecast indicates lettuce ice for tomorrow as well, with increasing temperatures by Wednesday, December 5, 2018. A passing storm could bring up to .40” of rain on Thursday, December 6 and more widespread lettuce ice is expected to follow on December 8 through 9.
