- Temperatures throughout the Salinas Valley are expected to reach a high of 95 degrees inland and low 80s in coastal areas over the next several days
- Warm weather over the past week has already created some heat-related concerns

Expect quality problems in both commodity and value-added row crops, including:
- Decay
- Fringe burn
- Growth cracking
- Increased insect pressure
- Shortened shelf-life in commodity and value-added items
Santa Maria
- Highs in the low 80s are expected over the next several days
- Growers will be work to keep fields wet to limit defects

Strawberry supplies may experience:
- Bruising
- Over ripeness
- Soft texture
