FROM THE FIELDS: DESERT WEATHER UPDATE

January 18, 2021

Weather forecasts are calling for a chance of rain in the Arizona/California desert region Tuesday, January 19 through Friday morning, January 22, due to a low pressure system passing through the area. Rainfall totals could range from .25” to .50” or more and temperatures will also dip below seasonal averages, with highs in the low to mid-60s.

Markon inspectors are working with suppliers to pack Markon orders ahead of the rain to lessen the impact of any harvesting/loading delays, and to ensure order fulfillment. Markon inspectors will also be monitoring field conditions closely and will update further on any potential rain-related quality or shelf-life concerns.
