FROM THE FIELDS: Desert Region Rainfall

November 20, 2019

A series of low pressure systems began to pass through the Arizona/California desert growing region yesterday afternoon. Anywhere from a half inch to an inch of total rainfall may be recorded through early Friday morning, November 22.

Muddy fields will cause harvesting and loading delays for most desert row crop items over the next few days, and some rain-related quality and shelf-life concerns may develop. Markon inspectors are monitoring supplies and will update as needed.
