FROM THE FIELDS: CONTINUED LETTUCE ICE IN THE DESERT REGION

March 01, 2021

The Arizona/California desert growing region is experiencing more lettuce ice and delayed start times this morning after another blast of cold, gusty winds passed through the region on Sunday, February 28. Harvest for most lettuces and other desert crops will be pushed back to between 9:00-10:30 AM MST, which may also cause loading delays later today.

Markon inspectors are assessing conditions and will continue to update as needed.
