Salinas Valley
- The Watsonville/Salinas season is winding down
- Above-normal temperatures and humid conditions have been recorded throughout August, creating quality concerns
- Growers are keeping crops watered and picking on tighter schedules to limit quality issues
Santa Maria
- Fall supplies are limited, but will increase steadily as September progresses
- Emerging fall crop berries are exhibiting good size and color, but flavor is not as sweet as Watsonville fruit
- Summer crop varieties are declining in quality and size
