It’s that time of year when the fresh produce industry gets together with grower-shippers, distributors, and customers all in one place. The 2012 Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference + Expo July 20-22 in Monterey, California is a time to learn, reflect, rejuvenate, and plan for the future. Undoubtedly, the key benefit of the conference is meeting with people. In a business where handshakes and verbal agreements are common practice, the opportunity to build relationships and network are invaluable.
