FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: Wegmans Food Market Recalls Frozen Spinach

This update does not apply to any Markon First Crop, Ready-Set-Serve, or Markon Essentials products.

 

Wegmans Food Market is recalling frozen spinach, supplied to Wegmans by Twin City Foods, Inc based in Stanwood, Washington, due to potential contamination with Listeria Monocytogenes. The spinach included in this recall are in Wegmans Organic Food You Feel Good About Just Picked Frozen Spinach, 12 oz. (UPC 77890-32932) and was sold in the frozen food department of the company’s 85 stores in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia between January 27 and March 21, 2015 with the following best by codes:

No illnesses have been reported to date.

 

No Markon products are included in this voluntary recall nor did Markon purchase any of the implicated items from Wegmans Food Market. Please remember to physically check your inventory to ensure none of the affected products are in your warehouse.
