FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: Fresh Express Recalls Romaine Salad Due to Undeclared Allergens
Fresh Express of Orlando, Florida, is recalling 100 cases of 9 oz. Hearts of Romaine Salad due to undeclared allergens. The product may contain Caesar Salad condiment packets with undeclared allergens including egg, milk, wheat, and anchovy which are not identified ingredients on the product label. The recalled product has Product Codes H34711A or H34711B, UPC Code 0 71279 26102 7 and Use-By Date of December 27.
The affected products were distributed in Maryland.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products at this time.
No Markon products are included in this recall nor did Markon purchase any of the implicated items from Fresh Express. Please remember to physically check your inventory to ensure none of the affected products are in your warehouse.
