FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: Earthbound Farm Recalls Organic Chopped Asian Salad Kit Due to Undeclared Allergens

This update does not apply to any Markon First Crop, Ready-Set-Serve, or Markon Essentials products.

Earthbound Farm LLC, of San Juan Bautista, CA is recalling 1,755 cases of Earthbound Farm Organic Chopped Asian Style Salad Kit due to undeclared allergens. The product may contain incorrect dressing/topping packets intended for their Southwest Chopped Salad Kit that contain egg and milk that are not identified ingredients on the primary product label.

The affected products have an expiration date of October 24, 2017 and UPC 32601 95134 and were distributed to retail stores in 29 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

There have been no reported illnesses or reactions associated with consumption of these products at this time.

No Markon products are included in this recall nor did Markon purchase any of the implicated packer label products from Earthbound Farm. Please remember to physically check your inventory to ensure none of the affected products are in your warehouse.
