FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: DOLE FRESH VEGETABLES RECALLS DOLE BRAND BABY SPINACH WITH TENDER REDS DUE TO LISTERIA

Dole Fresh Vegetables of Monterey, California is recalling Dole brand Baby Spinach with Tender Reds from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall is the result of the product testing positive for the pathogen. Testing was conducted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The products being recalled are Dole Baby Spinach with Tender Reds 142g, UPC Code 0 71430 06069 8 and Best Before 18-AU-04, and all time codes starting with W202011. Implicated product was distributed to retail establishments in the following Canadian provinces, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
