FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: Country Fresh Recalls Cut Fruit due to Listeria monocytogenes

Country Fresh, a member of The Fresh Food Group of Spring, Texas, is recalling cut fruit due to Listeria monocytogenes. This recall is the result of Listeria monocytogenes being detected on equipment in an area near where these products are packed. The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) discovered these findings during a recent inspection. Recalled products were distributed to Walmart and RaceTrac’s retail stores in AR, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, OK, and TX. No illnesses have been associated with these products to date.
