Meet Chef Michael Dahling
Native New Yorker Chef Michael Dahling started his career at 15 by working in his uncle’s Italian deli and butcher shop. Once the seeds of his passion were sown, he followed that up by going to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Degree in hand, he headed to Italy on a full scholarship to the Italian Institute for Foreigners in Piedmont, Italy, then completed a two-year internship at two restaurants as well as traveling around Europe.
Upon returning to the U.S., Chef Dahling worked in country clubs, hotels, and restaurants across the country, including Florida, New Jersey, and Arizona until he eventually found his niche in foodservice sales.
For the past ten years Chef Dahling has used his executive chef experience to help restaurateurs make smart foodservice buys. He’s been with Shamrock Foods for a couple of years—and has loved every minute of it.
