LIVE FROM THE FIELDS: Watsonville Strawberries

MFC Strawberries are now being packed out of the Salinas/Watsonville growing region. Production had been delayed 3-4 weeks due to cool weather, but volume is now very good. Current quality and color is very good and the berries are firm, ripe, and sweet. Warmer weather is forecast for the first two weeks of June, but it’s not expected to impact fruit quality at this time. Supplies will be ample for the next several weeks.
