Live From the Fields: Santa Maria Berries

Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are not available; packer label is being substituted as needed. Santa Maria has received approximately 1.3” of rain since Friday, October 28. Yields have plummeted as production crews are stripping 60% to 80% of total fruit because it is damaged. More rain is not forecast, but a brief heat spike on Thursday, November 3 could prolong quality problems.
