Receiving Inspecting:

Kohlrabi should have smooth bulbs that are free of cracks or visible fibers. Attached leaves should be fresh, firm, and green. Small to medium bulbs are best.

Storage Handling:
 

Short-term storage recommendation (7 days or less)

  • 32-36° F/0-2° C
  • 90-98% relative humidity
Shelf-Life:
7 to 10 days.
Troubleshooting:

Shriveling and tough texture may develop if stored in an area with low humidity. Store properly.

Usage Ideas:

  • Combine chopped kohlrabi and chopped Golden Delicious apples with mustard cream sauce; garnish with tarragon.
  • Toss julienned kohlrabi with arugula; dress with sesame-ginger vinaigrette.
