Short-term storage recommendation (7 days or less)
- 38-40° F/3-4° C
6 to 10 days.
Soft spots, mold, and dark coloring indicate decay caused by age.
- Braise cubes of pork with miso paste and soy sauce until tender; add steamed bamboo shoots and snap peas at the end of cooking; serve with white rice.
- Add bamboo shoots, Napa cabbage, and Shiitake mushrooms to chicken and noodle soup; serve with drizzle of chili oil.
