"I grew up in a large family in rural Pennsylvania and experienced the joy of working on the family farm with all my siblings at a very young age. I learned to perform every responsibility on the farm during my adolescent years and my very first real job was making fruit baskets. While farm work was hard, and not always my favorite chore—especially on hot summer days—I can see now how formative those years were in building a strong work ethic in me and my siblings as we worked together to reap the benefits of planting a variety of vegetables and other produce. This time in my life was truly impactful and one of my best life experiences."
