“When I lived in Brazil as a young adult, I gained a much deeper appreciation for food and the ritual of eating than I ever experienced before. My typical lunch was beans and rice with plenty of fresh produce and just a tiny bit of meat. It never failed that even after eating all that delicious food and enjoying their company for several hours, I was always told that it was too early to leave. I’ve been in the foodservice industry ever since I returned to the States in 2003 and have carried that love and passion of fresh food and community ever since.”
